Say YES to OPEN
ELECTIONS
The registrar of voters is proposing that Alameda
County start negotiating with Diebold and Sequoia
to purchase voting machines from one of the two corporations.
Both of these systems are hackable. Both use
secret code, tested in secret,
reviewed in secret, and certified in secret.
Both Diebold and
Sequoia use the same DRE design
with a cumbersome roll of paper for audit trails
to make it hard to check our votes.
It’s illegal! It’s
fraud!
It’s a $17.8 million
dollar scam!
Alameda should
stand proud with patriots in New York, Connecticut,
Maryland, New Mexico, and Leon County, FL, and say
NO to machines that count
our votes in secret !
YES to paper ballots, hand
counting, real audits, cheaper solutions and open machines !
The Board of Supervisors
is holding a special hearing on voting
machines and the registrar of voters.
Monday, March 13, 6 PM, Supervisors’
chambers,
1221 Oak Street, 5th Floor, Oakland.
Rally for democracy and
press conference starting at 4:30 !
The supervisors will be meeting
to vote on starting negotiations Tuesday, 10 AM, Supervisors’
chambers.
Now is the time
to tell the supervisors that you want open democracy!
Stand up! Speak up! Pack the meetings!
